Ayurvedic Management of Psoriatic Arthritis
Psoriatic arthritis is a form of arthritis that aftects some people who have psoriasis – a disease that causes red patches of skin topped with silvery scales. Most people develop psoriasis years before being diagnosed with psoriatic arthritis. But for some, the joint problems begin before skin patches appear or at the same time.
SIGNS AND SYMPTOMS
- Joint pain
- Stiffness
- Discoloration or redness near your affected joints
- Pain or tenderness where tendons and ligaments attach to your bones (like near your Achilles tendon)
- Swelling in your fingers and toes (dactylitis or “sausage fingers”)
- Psoriasis rash — silver or gray scaly patches on your skin (especially your scalp, elbows, knees and lower back)
- Nail psoriasis symptoms like discoloration or pitting on your fingernails or toenails
- Fatigue
CAUSES
Psoriatic arthritis occurs when your body’s immune system attacks healthy cells and tissue. The immune response causes inflammation in your joints as well as overproduction of skin cells.
RISK FACTORS
- Psoriasis – Having psoriasis is the single greatest risk factor for developing psoriatic arthritis.
- Family history – Many people with psoriatic arthritis have a parent or a sibling with the disease.
- Age – Although anyone can develop psoriatic arthritis, it occurs most often in adults between the ages of 30 and 55.

- No Alcoholic drinks
- No exertion (mentally and physically)
- No Day sleep
RESERVATION DETAILS
- We are committed to keep up the quality of our treatment programs and we take only a limited number of patients each month.
- So we advise you to reserve your treatment programs a minimum one month in advance.
- The 50% charges of the treatment programs should be paid in advance to reserve the treatment programs.
- The advance deposit will be deducted from the total treatment programs and the balance must be paid on the first day of the treatment program.
