Computer Vision Syndrome

Computer vision syndrome, also referred to as digital eye strain, describes a group of eye and vision-related problems that result from prolonged computer, tablet, e-reader and cell phone use.

  • Having a pair of glasses that is not suitable for viewing the distance of your computer
  • Working on digital devices without taking breaks

COMPUTER VISION SYNDROME IN AYURVEDA

Computer Vision Syndrome has no direct reference in Ayurvedic texts, it could be correlated to the signs and symptoms of Shushkakshipaka of Sarvakshiroga.

The signs and symptoms of Computer Vision Syndrome are associated with Vata – Pitta pradhana Tridosha vitiation at Chakshushendriya leading to Shushkakshipaka which is an ailment of the eye characterized by difficulty while closing the lids due to hardness and roughness of the eye lid.

  • Only very light and warm food is allowed, only warm water for drinking and bathing
  • Use of Computer, Tablets, Mobiles & Television are restricted
  • Use of black goggles are advised during the treatment
  • Avoid exposure to bright light
  • No coffee and black tea
  • No non veg food (meat – All types, Fish and eggs)
  • No alcoholic drinks
  • No exertion (mentally and physically)
  • No day sleep

RESERVATION DETAILS

  • We are committed to keep up the quality of our treatment programs and we take only a limited number of patients each month.
  • So we advise you to reserve your treatment programs a minimum one month in advance.
  • The 50% charges of the treatment programs should be paid in advance to reserve the treatment programs.
  • The advance deposit will be deducted from the total treatment programs and the balance must be paid on the first day of the treatment program.
